A landlord has been arrested in the United States after he was caught on hidden camera appearing to sniff the underwear of a tenant and her daughter in his home.
Evidently, the landlord was not supposed to be in the house at all, but he did go in to rummage through the underwear drawers on a few occasions, so they installed the hidden cameras.
A landlord has been arrested for sniffing the underwear of the tenant’s mother and daughter
NBC Connecticut reports that Jorge Orellana-Arias, 38, was charged with third-degree burglary after entering the East Haven apartment on several occasions while the home was unoccupied.
He also allegedly entered the dwelling when only the tenant’s daughter was there.
The tenant of the apartment claimed that after realizing that Orellana-Arias had been entering the property without permission, he set up the hidden cameras in an attempt to catch him in the act.
She finally managed to record him entering the house through a side door, before heading to the bedroom. There she found the dweller’s underwear and held it up to his nose, appearing to sniff it.
According to a police statement, “the camera captured Orellana-Arias entering the home through a side door, before heading to the two bedrooms, where he located female underwear.”
“The video, which was turned over to officers, shows Orellana-Arias holding the female garments to his nose, apparently in an effort to sniff them.”
The tenant told police that on at least one occasion she had entered the property “while her daughter was home alone” and said she “appeared to panic when she saw the daughter and left the apartment immediately.”
Orellana-Arias has been released on $25,000 bail. It is not immediately clear whether he pleaded guilty or not guilty in response to the charges.
