Anthony began gaining weight while caring for his cancer-stricken grandfather. But when his grandfather passed away, he decided to turn his life around.
A 31-year-old man changed his physique after weighing up to 270 kg
The straw that broke the camel’s back came one day when he stepped on a scale and it read “Error,” meaning he was over 270 kg.
“That’s when I realized I had to do something.” Anthony then put an end to his diet based on high-calorie foods and started following a healthy diet. He also went to the gym, which led him to lose 100 pounds before he fell into gastric bypass surgery.
“I changed the way I looked at food, the way I had been eating it,” Anthony explains.
On his social networks, Anthony documents the entire process of his weight loss and gives advice on exercise and eating habits, which has led him to gain thousands of followers (to give an example, on his Tiktok alone he has more than 720,000 followers).
At the beginning of the pandemic his gym closed, but Anthony did not abandon his exercise routines: he continued to train hard at home and was not afraid to experiment with new things.
As a result, he found an alternative that has become his new passion, and that was mountain biking.
Anthony expresses, “I’m fascinated by it, it’s exercise, but you don’t realize it is because you’re enjoying something you’ve never done before.”
“It got me out of the house, out of the gym, out of my comfort zone and helped me see something new,” he continues to express.
“I want to be transparent and show my good and bad days. Life is not perfect, no one is perfect and losing weight is not easy,” he added.
Finally Anthony commented that “Sometimes it affects you, but you have to keep going”.
He currently weighs 122 kg and his goal is to reach 90 kg, something that with all the effort and discipline he has we are convinced he will achieve.
“It’s okay to have a bad day, but it’s not okay to give up,” she wrote
